The FOD8316 is a two-channel device that can drive an IGBT power module with up to 2.5A output current. The device is designed for use in applications that require an electrical isolation barrier between high voltage power distribution and logic control. The component features opto-couplers with logic outputs that enable high-voltage IGBT gate control from standard logic logic voltage levels. The output current can be adjusted through an external resistor with a maximum of 2.5A, allowing for control of a wide range of IGBT modules.
