LMV981, LMV982 Single and Dual Low Voltage, Rail-to-Rail Input and Output, Operational Amplifiers with Shutdown www.onsemi.com The LMV981 Single and LMV982 Dual are lowvoltage operational amplifiers which can operate on singlesided power MARKING supplies (1.8 V to 5.0 V) with railtorail input and output swing. DIAGRAMS Both devices come in small stateoftheart packages and require LMV981 (Single) very low quiescent current making them ideal for batteryoperated, portable applications such as notebook computers and handheld 6 instruments. RailtoRail operation allows for optimal 1 AAE M signaltonoise applications plus the small packages allow for closer SC70* placement to signal sources further enhancing overall signal chain CASE 419B performance. 1 The LMV981 Single and LMV982 Dual both have a shutdown pin that can be used to disable the device and further reduce power 1 V M consumption. Shutdown is implemented by driving the SHDN Pin LOW. 1 ULLGA8 Features CASE 613AG Specified at SingleSided Power Supply: 1.8 V, 2.7 V, and 5 V M = Date Code Small Packages: = PbFree Package LMV981 in a SC70* and uLLGA (1.5mm x 1.5mm x 0.4mm) (Note: Microdot may be in either location) LMV982 in a Micro10* and uQFN (1.4mm x 1.8mm x 0.6 mm) No Output Crossover Distortion LMV982 (Dual) Extended Industrial Temperature Range: 40C to +125C Low Quiescent Current 210 A, max per channel No Output PhaseReversal from Overdriven Input V982 AYW These are PbFree Devices Micro10* Typical Applications CASE 846B Notebook Computers, Portable BatteryOperated Instruments, PDAs Active Filters, SupplyCurrent Monitoring DE M 1 0.1 R = 600 UQFN10 L 0.09 T = 25C CASE 488AT A 0.08 A = Assembly Location 0.07 Y = Year 0.06 W = Work Week = PbFree Package 0.05 (Note: Microdot may be in either location) 0.04 V OH 0.03 0.02 ORDERING INFORMATION V OL See detailed ordering and shipping information in the package 0.01 dimensions section on page 17 of this data sheet. 0 1.8 2.2 2.6 3 3.4 3.8 4.2 4.6 5 SUPPLY VOLTAGE (V) *Consult sales for package availability Figure 1. Continuous shortcircuit operation to ground at elevated ambient temperature can result in exceeding the maximum allowed junction temperature of 150C. Output currents in excess of 45 mA over long term may adversely affect reliability. Shorting output to either V+ or V will adversely affect reliability. www.onsemi.com 2
