The MC33164D-3G Supervisory Circuits 2.65V UnderVoltage Sensing Circuit is a high precision voltage monitor with an accuracy of ±1.2% over the ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It also features a robust input supply voltage range of 2.5V to 7V. The device is designed to switched-mode power supply (SMPS) applications to provide low power indicator, low voltage warning and system shut-down features when the supply voltage drops below the programmed voltage threshold. The circuit includes an internal voltage reference, an independent comparator, and an output latch, saving space on the board and simplifying the system design. The output can be configured as active low or active high and can be used to drive an LED, audible alarm, solid state relay, or other output device. The MC33164D-3G is an 8-pin surface mount package, making it suitable for use in high-density applications.
