The NCP161AMX180TBG is a 450 mA Active Discharge Low Dropout (LDO) Regulator from ON Semiconductor. It is one of the most advanced regulators in the market, offering high performance features like low dropout voltage, fast transient response and low noise operation. This regulator also features a shutdown feature which helps reduce power consumption during idle periods, and is capable of sourcing up to 180 mA of output current. Additionally, it includes thermal protection that will trip off if the temperature exceeds its specified operating range. The NCP161AMX180TBG comes in a package with an exposed lead and is suited for both surface mount and through-hole applications. It also features a 3-pins SOT23-5 plastic package.
