NCT75 Industry Standard Digital Temperature Sensor with 2wire Interface The NCT75 is a two-wire serially programmable temperature sensor with an over-temperature/interrupt output pin to signal out of www.onsemi.com limit conditions. This is an open-drain pin and can operate in either comparator or interrupt mode. Temperature measurements are converted into digital form using a high resolution (12bit), sigma-delta, analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The device operates over the 55C to +125C temperature range. DFN8 SOIC8 Micro8 Communication with the NCT75 is accomplished via the CASE 506AA CASE 751 CASE 846A 2 SMBus/I C interface. Three address selection pins, A2, A1 and A0, can be used to connect up to 8 NCT75s to a single bus. Through this PIN ASSIGNMENT interface the NCT75s internal registers may be accessed. These registers allow the user to read the current temperature, change the SDA 1 8 V DD configuration settings and adjust the temperature limits. 2 7 SCL A0 The NCT75 has a wide supply voltage range of 3.0 V to 5.5 V. The (Top View) OS/ALERT 3 6 A1 average supply current is 575 A at 3.3 V. It also offers a shutdown GND 4 5 A2 mode to conserve power. The typical shutdown current is 3 A. The NCT75 is available in three, space saving packages 8-lead DFN, 8-lead Micro8 and 8-lead SOIC and is also fully pin and register MARKING DIAGRAMS compatible with the LM75 and TCN75. 8 Features 1 CT75 75M 12-bit Temperature-to-Digital Converter AYW Input Voltage Range from 3.0 V to 5.5 V 1 Temperature Range from 55C to +125C DFN8 Micro8 2 SMBus/I C Interface M = Date Code Overtemperature Indicator A = Assembly Location Support for SMBus/ALERT Y = Year Shutdown Mode for Low Power Consumption W = Work Week = Pb-Free Package One-shot Mode (Note: Microdot may be in either location) Available in 8-pin DFN, 8-pin Micro8 and SOIC Packages 8 These Devices are Pb-Free, Halogen Free/BFR Free and are RoHS NCT75 Compliant ALYWX Applications 1 Computer Thermal Monitoring SOIC8 Thermal Protection A = Assembly Location Isolated Sensors L = Wafer Lot Battery Management Y = Year W = Work Week Office Electronics = Pb-Free Package Electronic Test Equipment Thermostat Controls ORDERING INFORMATION System Thermal Management See detailed ordering and shipping information in the package dimensions section on page 12 of this data sheet.
