Additional Infomation About Product

The SFH 4655 part of the Osram Opto Semiconductors family is a surface-mount, Infrared Emitter (IRED) mounted on a monolithic, 8-pin mini-flat package for surface mounting. This IRED achieves very high radiant intensity levels at a relatively low power consumption, and its output can control up to 3 different infrared beams or up to 4 detectors. The unit also has a wide viewing angle of 90 degrees that allows controlled spot illumination. The SFH 4655 has low thermal resistance which permits mounting directly to the printed-circuit board and it is available in a wide range of wavelengths ranging from 920 to 950 nano-meters.
