The SE029 is a very small, low power, high performance, programmable general-purpose processor that has been developed by Mindspeed Technologies and PicoChip Solutions. It is designed to be used in embedded systems, such as multimedia convergence and control systems. The SE029 is based on an ARM9 processor core and is capable of executing over 1GHz. It features sophisticated hardware accelerators, such as a hardware accelerator for JPEG, MPEG4, and audio codecs. It can also support several wireless standards, such as Wi-Fi and HSDPA, as well as 3G/4G. Additionally, the processor features low power modes for optimal power saving and can be integrated into standard platforms for easy integration.
