Additional Infomation About Product

The Pololu MP6500 Stepper Motor Driver Carrier is a breakout board for Allegro’s A4988 microstepping bipolar stepper motor driver. It is capable of driving one stepper motor at up to 2 A output current per coil. The A4988 includes a fixed off-time current regulator, bi-directional motor control, overcurrent protection, and five different microstep resolutions (up to 1/16-step). The board is designed to operate from 8–35 V to maximize flexibility in connecting it to a power supply and motor. The MP6500 carrier board adds reverse-voltage protection and a reverse-voltage protection circuit. Additionally, it features a set of of uncommitted through-hole pads and mounting holes for adding extra components, such as power transistors or other components to enhance the functionality of the A4988.
