MDP-2 Pomona

MDP-2 is part of the Pomona College Master Plan, which outlines the college’s vision for creating a more vibrant and sustainable campus. The plan includes strategies for creating a safer and more welcoming campus environment, as well as increased maintenance and sustainability-focused initiatives. MDP-2 specifically focuses on upgrades and renovations of existing academic, student and administrative buildings, as well as new development of gardens and pedestrian pathways. The plan’s objectives are to create a campus environment that is supportive of the college’s mission, enable the college to be more resilient, and promote sustainability and efficiency. Opportunities for potential green infrastructure such as new solar panels, rain gardens, green roofs and bioswales are also available. Additionally, the plan showcases how adaptive reuse of existing and historical campus buildings can create more learning opportunities and activities for all students.
