The LYT2005K is an integrated circuit (IC) from Power Integrations that is consumed by Decora, Decora Plus, and Serena styles of Leviton switches, dimmers, and fan controllers. It is a Line/Load Powerline Communication (L/L PLC) device that works on the International Communications Standard ISM band frequency ranging from 131–133 kHz. This device provides a communications bridge between the load, dimmer, or switch, and up to 60 individually addresses nodes downstream of it. It can sense the presence of a Local Area Network (LAN) and provide status reporting of it to the network when commanded. The LYT2005K IC also allows for communication of dimmer parameters between the nodes, and can control different functions of the dimmer including speed, low-end range, and fan delay reset, as well as provide smart scene functionality.
