Nu-Pax Limited TECHNICAL DATA SHEET 291 Aluminium Foil Tape DESCRIPTION A 30 micron dead soft Aluminium foil tape coated with a long lasting ultra violet resistant acrylic adhesive on one side and lined with a release paper to protect the adhesive face. This product has been tested to BS476 part 6 & 7 standards and meets class 1 and class 0 fire regulations. APPLICATIONS A highly specified aluminium foil tape for use in any situation where long life, great adhesive strength or ultra violet resistance is required. PROPERTIES Thickness : 0.12 mm Shear (static) : > 200 hours Tensile Strength (no liner) : 45N/25mm Elongation : 5% Peel Adhesion 20 mins : 14.5 N/25mm 60 mins : 14.3 N/25mm 24 hours : 19.4 N/25mm Looptack : 12.0 N Humidity Shear Test : > 4 hours o Application Temperature : -20 to +50 C (The surface must be free from ice or moisture) o o Temperature Range : -40 to +120 C (can withstand 140 C for a few minutes) 2 o Moisture vapour permeability : < 1gm/M /24 hours 38 C and 90% RH o Shelf Life / storage : 12 mths in original packaging cool dry conditions (+12 to 25 C) Application : Surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and free from dust.
