8012 Radial Magnet

The 8012 Radial Magnet is a high-performance, high-power radial-field magnet designed specifically for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). It is used in a variety of medical imaging applications and is one of the leading magnets used in today’s advanced MRI systems. The 8012 features a superconducting field up to 13.3T in a 30 cm bore with the highest possible homogeneity and stability. The active area of the 8012 magnet is made with a combination of 4 high-performance, high-temperature superconducting layers of copper, indium and silver, which reduces the noise due to flux jumps, and ensures optimum performance and reliable performance. The 8012 magnet is designed and manufactured as a complete unit in order to reduce set-up and assembly time, and ensure perfect integration into the imaging system. It is also highly efficient, achieving temperatures of 4.2K in all axes. The 8012 also includes laser-aligned feedback loops to ensure precise field control and homogeneity.
