DATASHEET ISL32740E FN8857 Rev.4.00 Isolated 40Mbps RS-485 PROFIBUS Transceiver Nov 30, 2017 The ISL32740E is a galvanically isolated high-speed Features differential bus transceiver, designed for bidirectional 40Mbps data rate data communication on balanced transmission lines. The 2.5kV isolation/600V working voltage RMS RMS device uses Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) as its isolation technology. 3V to 5V power supplies The part is available in a 16 Ld QSOP package offering 20ns propagation delay unprecedented miniaturization, and in a 16 Ld SOICW 5ns pulse skew package providing a true 8mm creepage distance. 50kV/s (typical), 30kV/s (minimum) The ISL32740E is PROFIBUS compliant, including the common-mode transient immunity rigorous PROFIBUS differential output voltage specifications. 15kV ESD protection A unique ceramic/polymer composite barrier provides Low EMC footprint excellent isolation and 44,000 years of barrier life.
