DATASHEET ISL32745E FN8977 Rev.0.01 6kV VDE-Reinforced Isolated 40Mbps Full-Duplex RS-485 Transceiver Dec 1, 2017 The ISL32745E is a galvanically isolated, high-speed Features differential bus transceiver, designed for full-duplex data 40Mbps data rate communication on balanced transmission lines. The 6kV isolation/1000V working voltage RMS RMS device uses Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) as its isolation technology. 12.8kV surge immunity The part is available in a 16 Ld SOICW package with 1/5 unit load allows up to 160 devices on the bus true 8mm creepage distance. 3V to 5V power supplies The ISL32745E delivers a minimum differential output 20ns propagation delay voltage of 2.1V across a 54 differential load for high noise immunity and excellent data integrity. 5ns pulse skew A unique ceramic/polymer composite barrier provides 50kV/s common-mode transient immunity 6kV reinforced isolation and 44,000 years of barrier life. 10kV ESD protection The device is compatible with 3V and 5V input supplies, Low EMC footprint allowing a simple interface to local controllers. Thermal shutdown protection Current limiting and thermal shutdown features protect -40C to +85C temperature range against output short circuits and bus contention that may cause excessive power dissipation.
