National Park
Roztocze National Park is a protected area located in eastern Poland and one of the largest parks in the country. This park was established in 1993 to maintain and protect its environment of forests, meadows, and wetlands.
Part 2.L18.002-21 is located in the north-central part of the park and includes a variety of natural habitats. There are oak, hornbeam, and linden forests as well as beech and fir trees, with some areas of spruce and pine. This is an important wildlife corridor for birds migrating between western and eastern Europe. A wide range of bird species can be found here, such as the black kite, black stork, white stork, and gray heron. There is also a rich diversity of mammal species, including red deer, roe deer, wild boar, red fox, and raccoon dog. The meadows and wetlands in this area provide habitats for amphibian and reptile species, including several species of snakes and the European pond turtle. This area also includes several mineral springs and the Soloniec Nature Reserve that protects 848 acres of natural habitat.
