National Park
2.L30.006-33 is an area of bird conservation situated in Roztocze National Park, Poland. It consists of a large flooded meadow surrounded by dense forests and shrubs. The area is important as a nursery ground for migratory birds, shorebirds, and large numbers of small waterfowl such as ducks, geese and swans. The wetlands here provide habitats to large populations of rare and endangered species including Eurasian teals and Moorhens. Human activities such as agricultural land conversion, water pollution, and disruption of the natural habitat through tree cutting are the main threats to this endangered biodiversity. To protect the species, there are several conservation practices such as habitat preservation, protection of migratory routes and seasonal closures for hunting. This area is a great example that shows how conservation and proper management can preserve a fragile ecosystem that is home to many threatened species.
