Scapa 3209 PVC Single Sided Foam Tape DESCRIPTION Scapa 3209 is primarily a foam compression sealant. The product is black. The foam is predominantly closed celled and is a soft foam. An acrylic pressure sensitive adhesive is coated on one side, and the product has a paper release liner on the other non-adhesive face. Scapa 3209 will act as a water-seal and air/dust seal when compressed. APPLICATIONS Forms a compression water seal Forms a compression air / dust seal For preventing electrolytic corrosion For gap filling For cushioning For anti slip mounting PRODUCT BENEFITS Minimum 30% compression required to effect a water seal o o Service temperature 30 C to +70 C o o Application temperature: +10 C to + 40 C Shelf life of 1 year Coated on one side with a high quality pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive Good resistance to dilute acids & alkalis Paper release liner on the non-adhesive face, reducing dimensional change during application Very good Ultra violet UV Light resistant Resistance to abrasion, corrosion and moisture Suitable for indoor and outdoor environments No known hazards associated with this product Pre-determined dimensional sealant reduces waste Clean to use Clean edge finish Issue: 5 Date: 23/06/02 Page 1 of 2 3209.docACCREDITATIONS Fire rated to DIN 4102 part 1, B2 Conforms to European Directive 2000/53 EC (lead, chromium VI, mercury, cadmium free) TECHNICAL PROPERTIES Unit Nominal Value Test Method 00 30 Scapa F16 Shore Hardness OO Scale -2 Ncm 2.9 Scapa F4 Force To Compress By 30 % -2 Ncm 2.3 Scapa F4 Compression Deflection After 1 Minute o N/25mm 5 Scapa F9 10 Minute180 Peel Adhesion -2 Ncm 40 Scapa F17 Tensile Strength % >170 Scapa F17 Elongation At Break -1 -1 Wm K 0.062 Lees Disc Thermal Conductivity (k) STANDARD PRESENTATION Formats Logs, Rolls, Die Cuts, Spools Thickness: 3.0 4.5 6.0 mm Core: 76mm plastic core RECOMMENDATIONS Surfaces must be clean, dry, free from grease and dirt.
