TS4223 is a part of the Singapore-Stanford Advanced Certificate program at the National University of Singapore. It is a graduate-level course focusing on the social, policy, and technological applications of information and communication technologies (ICT). Students examine the complex and interrelated phenomena of the digital age, and become articulate in critically assessing the impact of ICT on society. Issues addressed include the moral, ethical, and policy implications of ICT, and their effects on human beings, organizations, and nations. In addition to discussing the legal, economic, and organizational context of ICT, students design research projects and discuss the implications of ICT and the emerging digital economy.
