Please keep this manual for future reference. 1.0 INTRODUCTION This CAT-5e/6 HDMI Extender uses two pieces UTP cable, with cross strand inside, to extend 1080p HDTV display up to 30 meters. It not only solves the limitation of the HDMI cable transmission lengthbut also provides the added flexibility that CAT-5e/6 offers during installation. Both the sender and receiver are equipped with fixed HDMI cable that allows consumers reduce installation cost and time. It is capable of supporting DVI (digital visual interface) equipment when used with an HDMI to DVI Adapter, providing greater flexibility and options when integrating several home theater components. This product offers solutions for residential consumers: HDTV retail and show site, HDTV, DVD and Projector factories, noise, space and security concerns, data center control, information distribution, conference room presentation, school and corporate training environments. 1.1 BENEFITS 1) The length of HDMI cable is fixed and unchangeable after it is produced. Currently, there is no practical method of HDMI connector field termination. However CAT-5e/6 cables are commonly available in a variety of lengths and are easily terminated by the installer. 2) Because HDMI connectors are large, and the cable delicate and difficult to bend, it is difficult to pull through finished walls during installation. Cat-5e/6 cable is much easier to manage. 3Using this Extender together with UTP cable with cross strand inside, the maximum transmission distance 30 meters for 1080p.
