The device is ideal for powering low cost appliance applications and lighting applications. It is a resonant controller, featuring an optimized valley mode control that contributes to low conduction loss solutions, as well as low electrical noise and cost. The device includes several power saving features, such as a built-in advanced Power Factor Controller, a valley current control for maximum efficiency, a power saving mode, and programmable standby current. The device also includes brown-in/brown-out protection, soft start, voltage droop and overcurrent protection. Its highly stable supply voltage and good power factor help to reduce overall system cost.
