The VIPER114HSTR with ACDC Converters INDUSTRIAL & POWER CONVERSION manufactured by STMicroelectronics is a voltage mode PFC (Power Factor Correction) controller that is specifically designed for applications such as industrial AC/DC converters. It features a family of 4V to 8V output switch mode control ICs that are capable of driving high efficiency quasi-resonant power topologies. It provides a number of features such as inherent PFC control, adaptive input voltage range selection, high peak current mode control, frequency modulation and a fast input-charge-pump voltage regulation loop. The VIPER114HSTR also provides various protections such as Over Voltage Protection (OVP), Under Voltage Protection (UVP), Over Current Protection (OCP) and Soft-Start State (SSS). This makes it suitable for a wide range of industrial and power conversion applications.
