Manufacturing
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) is the world's largest dedicated semiconductor foundry and a key player in the global semiconductor industry. Located in Hsinchu, Taiwan, the company's HER107 (150mm wafer fabrication facility) is a leading semiconductor fab that specializes in the production of advanced process technology, silicon wafers and semiconductor devices. Since the opening of the HER107 in 1997, TSMC has been manufacturing the latest high-end chip technology, currently the 16nm process node. The facility utilizes advanced process technologies including 300mm immersion lithography, dry and plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (CVD), and transistors using extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography. It also offers services for 3D integration and packaging, YOCTO FinFET technology for advanced mobile, graphics, gaming and artificial intelligence applications, as well as embedded flash memory and variable SRAM, among other technologies. HER107 is an important part of TSMC's manufacturing operations, helping the company to remain a major supplier of cutting-edge semiconductors for the world's top electronic device companies.
