The S1KL program is aimed at providing customers with a 'one-stop shop', serving as an enabling link between the customer and TSMC's extensive manufacturing processes and services. The S1KL program comprises the following components:
• Design IP – Design service firms can turn to TSMC's vast library of design IP and allow their customers to quickly access pre-designed and verified blocks.
• Direct-to-Mask (DTM) – To reduce the cost associated with prototyping/tape-outs, TSMC's DTM services helps customers directly access the mask-setting phase without having to go through the photomask production process.
• Design Rule Manuals – TSMC provides customers with information on their process technologies so that customers can design with its processes in mind, thereby reducing the time and cost associated with tape-out.
• Qualification Services – TSMC offers customers a comprehensive qualification process for their designs, ensuring optimal performance of their products in the field.
