TERMINAL DESCRIPTION NOTE This tool is designed specifically to loose piece side-feed front-carrier terminals. Tool is not designed to loose piece end- feed, center-carrier or dual-carrier terminals. NOTE Certain loose piece terminals listed for use with portable crimping tools receive a secondary forming operation at the time of manufacture that pre-forms the insulation and or wire barrels of the terminals. This preforming operation, which might be a prerequisite for crimping with a manual crimping tool, is not performed by the Terminal Cutter described in this Instruction Sheet. The absence of the preforming step can make certain strip terminals difficult or impossible to crimp using a portable crimping tool even though the terminal is able to be separated from the carrier by the Terminal Cutter. DISCLAIMER TE Connectivity herewith disclaims its liability for any claims which may arise due to the missing preforming activity. The Terminal Cutter tool provided by TE Connectivity is only responsible for cutting the terminals from the reel and not for performing any preforming activities. 3.1.
