The CC2591RGVR from Texas Instruments is a 2.4 GHz range extender RF front end module for IEEE 802.15.4 compliant protocol interfaces. It provides up to 24 dB gain output power and a signal-to-noise ratio of up to 65 dBm on the receive path. It is also capable of rejecting undesired out-of-band signals, and a low-noise amplifier helps improve the receive sensitivity, minimizing adjacent channel and blocking performance.The CC2591RGVR is a low-power device with a 34 x 34 mm form factor and passive surface-mount components enabling direct connection to external antennas for improved performance. It also includes a power-saving circuitry feature that reduces consumption during idle periods. The module is RoHS-compliant, and is well-suited for a variety of Industrial, Scientific, and Medical applications.
