The CD4510BE is a CMOS Presettable BCD Up/Down Counter manufactured by Texas Instruments. It consists of four independent, presettable decade counters, each having four Clear, clock, and count-enable (C) inputs and five outputs (A, B, C, D, and Q4). These counters are cascadable in single-modulus 4, 8, and 16 to provide up and down counting. When counting down, the count sequence starts with the maximum count and goes to zero. The outputs transition from a nine-state to zero upon the count-enable C pulse. The clear inputs reset the counters to zero or to a predetermined count. This device operates with supply voltage ranging 4.5 V to 18 V and can withstand temperature between 0°C to 70°C. It is DIP packaged, making it easy to use in various applications.
