The CD74HCT221E from Texas Instruments is a dual monostable multivibrator high-speed CMOS (Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor) integrated circuit. This device consists of two independent identically-programmed monostable circuits. It has a trigger input and an external reset input, and an adjustable time period output. The trigger input sources differ between rising, falling and AC coupled modes, allowing the circuit to be used in a variety of applications such as pulse generator, modulator, triggering flip-flops, triggering ADC converters, and more. Additionally, the device features fast switching speeds (10ns typical) and low power consumption.
