The PCA9546ARGVR is a 4-channel I2C and SMBus multiplexer produced by Texas Instruments. It is a single switch IC that combines multiplexer and switch functions. The device enables four bidirectional ports that can be separately addressed for I2C or SMBus communications at 400 kHz. It is provided in a 10-pin VSSOP (very small landscape) package and applications include audio, consumer, medical, and industrial equipment. The PCA9546ARGVR is a low-power device with a typical operating current of 0.4 mA at 3.3 V and 5.5 mA at 1.8 V. The device also features an active high enable for each port and a low pass filter for minimizing the data switching noise. The PCA9546ARGVR is a versatile switch IC that enables four industry-standard I2C and SMBus connections to be multiplexed (shared by multiple devices) for a wide range of applications.
