The TLC5971PWPR is a 12-channel, 16-bit PWM RGB LED driver manufactured by Texas Instruments. The device is designed to drive high-power RGB displays, providing a wide range of dimming and color control. With a high-speed data rate of 20 MHz, the device can drive up to 12 independent channels with up to 16-bit resolution per channel for 64 thousand levels of brightness. It features low-power operation and an internal logic for simulating multiple classes of brightness over time for smooth fading effects. Furthermore, it contains an integrated ESD protection circuitry. The device is designed to run in both standalone and daisy-chain configurations and can be directly interfaced with a microcontroller via an SPI interface.
