The TPIC6B273N is a 8-bit shift register produced by Texas Instruments. It is made up of an 8-bit data (in/out) register, a clock input, and two control inputs. It is a low-power CMOS device made in compliance with JEDEC standard. This device is designed to operate in the temperature range of -55°C to 150°C. It is designed to interface with a wide range of logic families, such as TTL, ECL, and MOS. The device is capable of a maximum clock frequency of 25 MHz and a typical access time of 35 ns. It is commonly used for high speed data transfer, time division multiplexing and shifting large amount of data through small number of pins.
