TSOP98440 Infrared Receivers Minicast 40kHz AGC4 are a type of optical semiconductor manufactured by Vishay. The devices are composed of an integrated photodiode, preamplifier, and output stage, making them suitable for applications such as remote control systems, consumer electronics, security systems, and healthcare monitoring equipment. The TSOP98440 features an automatic gain control (AGC4) that provides four steps of amplified output signals over the entire frequency range. The low gain reduces the amount of EMI (electromagnetic interference) and the wide bandgap photodiode provides excellent sensitivity and spike-level protection.
