It delivers DC-power to bridge mains failures of the DC voltage system and can extend the hold-up time after loss of the mains power. The service-free electrolytic capacitors allow the continuous operation at ambient temperatures up to +70C. It can also be operated in parallel to increase a longer bridging time or the output power.
