The Yageo 2RL1000M-8-L5 is a discharge tube, commonly known as a gas discharge tube (GDT) or transient suppression system (TSS), with an axial lead. It is RoHS compliant, meaning it meets the requirements of the Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive, and contains no known hazardous materials. This 2RL1000M-8-L5 tube is designed to limit transient voltages and is typically used in power supply circuits, electronic controls, and telecommunications systems. It is applicable for ac and dc applications. It has a maximum capacitance of 1000 pF at 25 volts DC and a breakdown voltage of 8 V. The maximum breakdown voltage (VBR) at 1 kHz is 11 volts and the maximum leakage current (Ileak) is 5 µA. Maximum DC surge current (IIS) is 2.5 amps. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +85°C.
