A4480 Wide Input 5 V, 50 mA, Automotive Regulator with Output Short-to-Battery Protection and Power OK FEATURES AND BENEFITS DESCRIPTION Automotive AEC-Q100 qualified The A4480 is a wide input regulator with complete control, Wide operating range of 3.5 to 28 V, with 40 V load diagnostics, and protection features that address many dump rating requirements of automotive applications. It includes a boost Linear regulator output with foldback short-circuit and function to allow operation with input voltages from 3.5 to short-to-battery protection 28 V, while maintaining a 5 V output voltage. The A4480 is Boost function to maintain output when input is low able to supply up to 50 mA of load current. Power OK (POK) flag An enable pin (ENB) allows control of the regulator output.
