The HCPL-M456-500E is an optocoupler manufactured by Broadcom using Avago Technologies. It is a 4-pin device with a logic output. It has a minimum operating bandwidth of up to 1Mbps, and is rated at a voltage insulation rating of 3750Vdc. It is designed to provide a means of electrically isolating a signal or power source from an output circuit, while maintaining high speed and accuracy. The device comes with an LED emitter and a phototransistor detector, and is used in a wide variety of industrial and commercial applications.
