The Diotec BC557C is a PNP Bipolar junction transistor (BJT). It is a low-power, general-purpose transistor with a current rating of 100mA and a voltage rating of 45V. It has a complementary NPN counterpart, the BC547C. The BC557C can be used in a wide variety of small-signal switching, amplifying, and inverter applications. Its features include good gain linearity, low-current noise, and high-frequency response. The low-power operation makes it ideal for use in low-voltage circuits. The BC557C can also be used as a replacement for the popular 2N2222 transistor.
