SystemsThe ESP32-S2 is an RF System on a Chip (SoC) Wi-Fi IC designed and manufactured by Espressif Systems. It is a single-core MCU, and includes a power amplifier, low-noise amplifier, filters, and a power system. The IC comes in a compact 7 x 7 mm package and has 56-pin QFN (Quad Flat No-Leads) connections. It supports up to +20 dBm output power in 802.11b/g/n mode and is ideal for applications that require short-range wireless communication. It is also able to support up to 8 connections simultaneously, making it very efficient in systems of systems that need multiple simultaneous communications. The IC has an operating temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius and allows for operation in either STAtic and DYnamic RAM operation modes for improved performance.The ESP32-S2 is an excellent solution for mobile devices, smart home devices, portable electronics, and wireless audio applications. It is able to support low power Wi-Fi connection and is highly secure with AES and SHA-2 encryption algorithms. It also supports Bluetooth Classic, BLE, 802.11b/g/n, and 6LoWPAN. The integrated cryptographic accelerator supports secure boot, secure firmware update, and secure OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.
