chipset
The ESP8285 is part of the Espressif chipset. It is a System-on-Chip (SoC) Wi-Fi solution integrating the most advanced features of both the ESP8266 and ESP32 series SoCs, including on-chip Wi-Fi, BLE, and a low-power 32-bit CPU. It supports high performance Wi-Fi, including data rates up to 150 Mbps. It also has a number of new features including embedded LwIP, enhanced RF performance, OTA (over-the-air) updates, on-chip clock, deeper low power sleep, and faster wake up. It provides a complete and self-contained Wi-Fi network solution, allowing it to either host an application or offload all Wi-Fi networking functions from another application processor.
