New Insulation Displacement and Crimping Ideas This connector is a new type to insert the ID contacts in the case. Using this ID terminal (24, 26, 28AWG) method, the following merits can be gained. Crimping contact (20 to 30AWG) 1 By using the ID contact and crimping contact together, different current capacity cables can be mixed in one case. 2 After connection, the contact can be replaced in excellent maintainability. 3 Because the insulation displacement area is protected by the case, high reliability can be assured. 4 Since the insulation displacement process can be performed only by Fig.1 replacing the applicator of the existing crimping machine, no expensive machine for insulation displacement is required.
