2.5mm Pitch Connector for Discrete Wire Connection (Product Compliant with UL/CSA Standard) DF1B Series Features Cables with different current capacities can be mixed in one case 1. New Insulation Displacement and Crimping Ideas This connector is a new type to insert the ID contacts in the case. Using this ID terminal (AWG24, 26, 28) method, the following merits can be gained. Crimping contact (AWG20 to 30) 1 By using the ID contact and crimping contact together, different current capacity cables can be mixed in one case. 2 After connection, the contact can be replaced in excellent maintainability. 3 Because the insulation displacement area is protected by the case, high reliability can be assured. 4 Since the insulation displacement process can be performed only by Figure 1 replacing the applicator of the existing crimping machine, no expensive machine for insulation displacement is required.
