The CY8C4146LQI-S423 is a picoPower 8-bit ARM Cortex-M0 microcontroller, manufactured by Infineon. This device is based on the PSoC 4 S-Series platform and comes with a CapSense integrated touch-sensing block. With a nominal operating voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V, the device works even in a 3 Volt battery-powered system. The onboard program memory of the MCU is 128 KB Flash with In-System-Programmable support. It has 16KB of SRAM, 10 Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) Channels, 8 general-purpose Input/Output (I/O) pins, eight Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) channels, and four pulse-width-modulation (PWM) outputs. Furthermore, the chip also features several timers, SPI/I2C communication interfaces, seven serial communication (SC) blocks, and five Internal Peripheral clocks. The onboard CapSense block has advanced touch sensing capabilities and allows users to activate a user interface without the use of device buttons, making it the perfect choice for the development of IoT applications.
