The IXYS DSEI120-12AZ-TUB is a discrete semiconductor module with power switch, rated at 1200V, 85A, and 5-12kHz switching frequency. This module is a bidirectional power switch that combines a fast-recovery FRED (Free-Wheeling Diode) with an integrated fully-controlled bridge rectifier. The FRED is designed to minimize power losses in high frequency switching applications.
