MCC255-14io1 is a six-pack of integrated circuit (IC) chips from IXYS, which are optimized for or used in motion control applications. This device contains two IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) and four MOSFETs (Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor Field-Effect Transistors) in a 14-pin DIP (Dual In-line Package). Each IGBT provides bidirectional conduction and overload protection features. The MOSFETs are configured as energy-saving synchronous rectifiers, which reduce power dissipation.
The IC chips provide high output current capability, low conduction losses, positive temperature coefficient, and optimized gate drive current. The rated collector current is 1.5 amps (1A minimum) and the voltage withstand is 500V. Other features include negative temperature coefficient, enhanced EMI/RFI immunity, and robustness. This device is suitable for use in a variety of applications, including power converters, inverters, motor drives, HVAC systems, and industrial automation.
