The ATSAMA5D27-WLSOM1 is a System-On-Modules (SOM) based on the SAMA5D2 Wireless SOM manufactured by Microchip. This SOM uses a powerful and low-power Atmel ARM Cortex A5 ATSAMA5D27 processor, combined with on-board robust Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread capabilities. It also includes an extended temperature range of -40°C - 85°C.The ATSAMA5D27-WLSOM1 supports up to 128MB DDR2, 8MB SPI Flash and 64MB Quad SPI Flash memory and features an extensive range of user configurable interfaces, including USB 2.0 Host, OTG, UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, 8x GPIO, 10x LEDs and a microSD storage socket. It also offers both industrial and consumer level electrical/environmental protection and isolation.In addition, the ATSAMA5D27-WLSOM1 is pin-compatible with Microchip industrial grade System-In-Package (SiP) family and supports the 400 MHz ATSAMA5D21. This SOM is ideal for industrial and machine automation, transportation, smart energy control, connected security, and consumer applications such as sports and fitness.
