TechnologyThe PD-9601G/AC-EU with Power over Ethernet (PoE Y) is a Microchip Technology high-performance solution for Gigabit Ethernet(GbE) networking. It is ideally suited for large corporate networks, data centers, and telecom deployments in which allowing networked devices to be powered using a data cable, reducing the complexity of multiple power points. It offers backward compatibility with existing 802.3af/at devices while providing up to 60 watts over a pair of Category 5e (Cat5e) power-sourcing equipment (PSE) cables. This device comes with a compliant PSE controller, 2/4-pair energy detect and Auto MDIX support (Media Access Control crossover) for a low power budget count. The PD-9601G/AC-EU supports the IEEE 15002 power delivery profile, providing a fast power delivery typically not found in typical Power over Ethernet solutions. It also features Gigabit Ethernet support up to 55m (180 feet) and is fully compliant to the IEEE 802.3at and 802.3af standards.
