SY88922V 5V/3.3V 2.5Gbps SY88922V LASER DIODE DRIVER DESCRIPTION FEATURES Up to 2.5Gbps operation The SY88922V is a high-speed current switch for driving a semiconductor laser diode in optical transmission 30mA modulation current applications. The modulation current (I ) is controlled OUT Separate modulation control by the current (I ) through the external resistor R . RSET SET Separate output enable for laser safety The output OUT is HIGH when output enable is HIGH. Differential inputs for data The device incorporates complementary open collector outputs with a capability of driving peak current of 30mA. 75K input pull-down resistor The resistor R must be placed between /OUT and EXT 3.3V and 5V power supply options V to dissipate the worst case power. R is CC SER Available in a tiny 10-pin (3mm 3mm) MSOP recommended to compensate for laser diode matching issues. Pin 9 and pin 10 should be connected to achieve better performance. The SY88922V utilizes the high-performance bipolar APPLICATIONS ASSET technology.
