The 74HCT4040D.653 is a 12-stage, binary-coded, ripple-carry, asynchronous decade counter from Nexperia. It is a low-power and high-speed CMOS device that operates from 2.0V to 6.0V. It has a high-speed asynchronous ripple-clock for advancing the counter on low-to-high transitions of the clock and asynchronous clear inputs for resetting all stages. All outputs, except for output C, are buffered. The 74HCT4040D.653 has the capability to count up to 12 in decimal (Binary-coded decimal) and to 13 in binary, one more than other counter ICs.
