The PCF8563TS/5.118 is an RTC (real-time clock) circuit manufactured by NXP. It has an I2C and serial interface and requires a voltage of 1.8÷5.5V. It comes in a package type TSSOP 8. It can be used in various applications to provide precise timing and calendar information. It can also be used in battery-backed applications. The device has two alarm settings, and it can be used to generate periodic wake-up interrupts. The device also features an integrated oscillator which allows for sub-second precision. Finally, it includes a trickle charge battery switch and an automatic switch to the battery when the main power supply is switched off.
