Is Now Part of To learn more about ON Semiconductor, please visit our website at www.onsemi.com Please note: As part of the Fairchild Semiconductor integration, some of the Fairchild orderable part numbers will need to change in order to meet ON Semiconductors system requirements. Since the ON Semiconductor product management systems do not have the ability to manage part nomenclature that utilizes an underscore ( ), the underscore ( ) in the Fairchild part numbers will be changed to a dash (-). This document may contain device numbers with an underscore ( ). Please check the ON Semiconductor website to verify the updated device numbers. The most current and up-to-date ordering information can be found at www.onsemi.com. Please email any questions regarding the system integration to Fairchild questions onsemi.com. N-channel MOSFETs with combined R = 17 m ON Built in protection monitors the ICs input and output for Over-Voltage Input Protection to +20 V over- and under-voltage as well as over- and under- current. The system protection is provided by controlling Hardware-based Safety and Protection for: the gate voltages of a pair of N-channel MOSFETs to Input Over-Voltage Protection and Lockout ensure that the output stays within a safe operating range. If a fault is detected, the FAN54151 will turn off Input Under-Voltage Lockout the N-channel FETs and notify the host system via Fast and Slow Output Over-Voltage Protection configurable interrupts. Over-Current Protection with Selectable Limits Additionally, the FAN54151 includes an integrated Safe Operating Temperature temperature sensor and battery cell voltage monitor that provides additional protection. Charger Detach Protection The FAN54151 utilizes a 20-Bump, 0.5 mm pitch True Reverse Current Blocking (TRCB) WLCSP package. 2 Fully Integrated I C Slave with Configurable Address Configurable Host Interrupts Applications From Power Path High Current Battery Charging for: Charger From VBUS Mobile Devices VIN VOUT Tablets CIN COUT PACK+ FAN54151 Battery Pack INT N PSNS+ SCL VSNSP SDA PSNS- ADR VSNSN RESET N PACK- GND Figure 1.
