Is Now Part of To learn more about ON Semiconductor, please visit our website at www.onsemi.com Please note: As part of the Fairchild Semiconductor integration, some of the Fairchild orderable part numbers will need to change in order to meet ON Semiconductors system requirements. Since the ON Semiconductor product management systems do not have the ability to manage part nomenclature that utilizes an underscore ( ), the underscore ( ) in the Fairchild part numbers will be changed to a dash (-). This document may contain device numbers with an underscore ( ). Please check the ON Semiconductor website to verify the updated device numbers. The most current and up-to-date ordering information can be found at www.onsemi.com. Please email any questions regarding the system integration to Fairchild questions onsemi.com. This devices contain a 200mA and 400mA Current Limit Options 0.125 current-limited P-channel MOSFET which can operate Undervoltage Lockout over an input voltage range of 1.8-5.5V. Internally, reverse Thermal Shutdown current blocking prevents current from flowing when the <2A Shutdown Current MOSFET is off and the output voltage is higher than the input voltage. Switch control is by a logic input (ON) capable of Fast Current limit Response Time interfacing directly with low voltage control signals. Each part 3s to Moderate Over Currents contains thermal shutdown protection which shuts off the switch 20ns to Hard Shorts to prevent damage to the part when a continuous over-current Reverse Current Blocking condition causes excessive heating. Fault Blanking When the switch current reaches the current limit, the part RoHS Compliant operates in a constant-current mode to prohibit excessive currents from causing damage. For the FPF2108, if the Applications constant current condition still persists after 10ms, the part will shut off the switch and pull the fault signal pin (FLAGB) low. The PDAs switch will remain off until the ON pin is cycled. For the Cell Phones FPF2109 and FPF2110, a current limit condition will GPS Devices immediately pull the fault signal pin low and the part will remain MP3 Players in the constant-current mode until the switch current falls below the current limit. The minimum current limit is 200mA for the Digital Cameras FPF2109 while that for the FPF2108 and FPF2110 is 400mA. Peripheral Ports These parts are available in a space-saving 5 pin SOT23 Hot Swap Supplies package.
